At HELLA you will be a part of the Corporate Critical Parts and Supply Chain Risk Management department. The Critical Parts Management is worldwide the highest escalation organization/level in terms of inbound supply shortages which ensures the internal HELLA productions and avoid any customer impacts or line downs. The Corporate Supply Chain Risk Management defines proactive risk management strategy, processes, methods and (IT) tools to prevent HELLA from supply chain risks proactively. It was targeted for an efficient management approach of unexpected potential risks of any kind along the global entire end-to-end supply chain.

  • Within your thesis you will design and develop a KPI concept for a holistic Supply Chain Risk Management from sub-supplier to end customer, based on HELLA’s strategic KPIs with the aim to set up an efficient project reporting structure and measurement in order to identify potentials for process optimizations.
  • Furthermore, you will analyze the invested effort and develop an effort measurement structure in order to visualize the department’s performance which will be included in the KPI concept.
  • You will also conduct cause-and-effect analysis based on the developed performance measurement system to formulate cause-effect chains and establish balance between effort and achievements.
  • In order to achieve the optimum, you will work in close cooperation with cross-functional departments (e.g. Purchasing, Logistics, Business Process Management) at different levels.


  • During your HELLA period you are matriculated at a university and have not yet completed your final examination.
  • Your degree should be related to Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Management or a comparable major of studies.    
  • Moreover, you have above average conceptional and analytical skills in combination with high affinity with numbers.      
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English, further foreign languages are welcome.
  • You also have professional skills in MS Office and preferably SAP MM.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, team spirit and independence are also part of your personality.
