At our location "The Drivery" in Berlin, you will support us as a system engineer focusing on Light & Optics. You will work in the core team as part of the cooperation with Plastic Omnium (PO).

  • The core team is an innovation driver and the lead acquisition team.
  • You will define future concepts and work in close cooperation with the pre-development departments on the development of new lighting technologies and light sources as well as the optimization of existing technologies.
  • You will evaluate customer inquiries with regard to lighting requirements, coordinate open questions with the customer, and work out solutions in cooperation with the expert teams.
  • You will define complex system requirements and identify necessary system configurations taking into account functional and physical properties.
  • You will work out lighting requirements and specifications as well as difficult optical geometries in consultation with the relevant parties.
  • You will also recognize, incorporate, and take into account changed legal and market conditions as part of your remit.


  • Successfully completed technical studies (Dipl.-Ing. / Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, or comparable)
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a comparable environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong ability to coordinate and work independently
  • Very good communication skills in German and English, French optional
