  • Definition of requirements, checking of technologically, functional and financial feasibility and selection of best solution together with the internal customer, specialist departments and customer
  • Perform internal and external service under consideration of economical, qualitatively aspects and regarding deadlines in conclusion with the internal customer
  • Ensure that the requirements of the international machinery and plant engineering standards are considered, (e. g. safety levels, norms, CE, OSHA)
  • Support preparation of specification requirements and draw up of calculation and quotation for production line and equipment. Assist the production lines/equipment design review to eliminate the mechanical design risks
  • Working together with equipment suppliers during design and construction phase. Support of equipment suppliers as well as cooperation for selection, assessment and development of new suppliers
  • Arrange the ordering of components for the construction and change of assembly under consideration of the purchasing regulations and deadlines as well as the control of the timely delivery.
  • Implementation and ramp-up of new and changed production and test equipment. Coordination of equipment approval and introduction of improvements together with the involved parties
  • Work with the Manufacturing Engineer for Preliminary Machine Acceptance and maintain an LoP of any items that do not meet the requirements of the SoR.
  • Lead the Realization of equipment and technology related continuous improvement actions. Introduction and realization of new technologies working together with internal and external partners as well as with expert panels and specialist working groups
  • Leading of project teams for any kind of product / product family related cost/quality improvements depending on technical issues
  • Deploying employees corresponding to their qualifications within the relevant structure. Instructing and supporting employees in a target-oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks
  • Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks
  • Involvement in hiring and responsible for performance evaluation as well as qualification demands Carrying out other tasks related to this position (including examining as well as complying with industrial safety and environmental protection measures pertaining to the scope of duties)


Education, Skills and Experience

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or higher in Electronics, Electrical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Five years minimum related experience
  • Must be willing to develop personally and professionally and to learn new techniques as well as find new ways to share them.
  • Must have a telephone to be reached when needed.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Must see teams as internal customers.
  • Good communication skills in english, both written and verbal; and listening skills.
  • Experience in maintaining equipment on a 24-hour operation.
  • Knowledge of electrical (industrial) and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with electrical and electronic suppliers.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with industrial automation suppliers.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
