YOUR TASKS

  • On an annual basis, will prepare an operating budget for Manufacturing with the assistance of Accounting. The budget will consist of manufacturing departmental budgets which have been reviewed by the Plant Manager. The first draft of the annual budget process is due approximately March 15 of each year or before if required.
  • Prepare monthly production efficiency reports that accurately describe all production operations. This report will include equipment utilization, efficiencies, scrap, and other related performance indicators that will provide a clear picture of how the overall operation is performing.
  • To lead by example and to motivate individuals and teams toward intended objectives with the overall central objective of achieving company goals while providing a high degree of customer satisfaction. The incumbent is expected to be active on the production floor daily as much time as possible.
  • To vigorously support the Strategic Quality efforts at HEC and achieve both the associated short and long-term goals of the company.
  • Coordinate closely with the Operations Readiness Manager in the planning, construction, installation and tooling of production equipment and facilities.
  • To ensure and support continuous improvement process in the manufacturing operation.
  • Provide leadership and support, setting of goals and monitoring progress and training through performance evaluations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, effectively leading a plant team in quality, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; MSE or MBA preferred.  
  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing, process engineering and operations management required.
  • Must have global automotive market, customer and competitive business understanding.
  • Must be professionally aggressive

  • All team members assigned to the Manufacturing team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
