To help develop through proper planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating an overall Quality Management System Program for defect prevention; to define the role of each department in the program; to direct these various efforts; and to measure and report the results.

YOUR TASKS

  • Assure the development, maintenance, and implementation of methods and procedures in Quality.
  • Provide methods for auditing and reporting the effectiveness of the program.
  • Plan, organize, implement, and supervise the efforts to perform the above-listed activities using the Corporate Management System (CMS) as the company policy.
  • Responsible for the overall certification and maintenance of the HEC Quality System to assure compliance to the ISO/QS-9001 and or IATF 16949 standards.
  • Plan and execute and/or support internal/external audits in order to verify the effectiveness of QM System and identify NC’s and OFI’s, and implement corrective actions.
  • Responsible for document control of policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of QM System based on the requirements of relevant QM norms and meeting CSR’s based on the Hella QM System in the plant in order to remain competitive nationally and internationally over long term.
  • Manage, motivate, and guide department personnel and allocated functions in self-development and toward quality mindedness in order to achieve the quality objectives with all persons involved.
  • Delegate the authority, responsibility, and work to personnel capable of performing the tasks of the Quality Program.
  • Coordinate quality related activities in the plant for preparation of a Quality Improvement Plan in order to achieve competitiveness through ongoing improvement.
  • Recommend wage scale or increases.
  • Responsible for preparation of HEC Flora Quality department budget.
  • Responsible for operating the HEC Flora Quality within approved budgets.
  • Determine the need of new equipment, prepare cost comparisons and justification, and write the CEA/Requisition for their purchase.
  • Purchase supplies and equipment necessary to carry out the quality function, with the approval of those designated, within the company to approve requisitions.
  • Assist all major OEM customers in regards to quality problems; works with customers in analyzing problems; provides visits to major OEM customers to analyze problems or complaints; and works with the Quality representatives of all major OEM customers in their performance of Quality duties.
  • Assist in monitoring Customer Scorecards and establishes action plans to meet or exceed Customer expectations.
  • Identify and record quality and service problems, propose solutions with all persons involved to assure implementation to achieve the maximum level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor Quality Performance in production, identify quality and service problems, and prepare proposed solutions and implement and check the effectiveness of corrective actions to meet the “Zero Fault Objective” and assure quality.
  • Provide regular information to the Plant Manager, Director of Quality, and Corporate HEC and Hella KG as required on the quality related procedures, quality key figures, trends and costs.
  • Report quality issues from Production to Product/Process development and exert an influence of the implementation of corrective measures for new developments in order to ensure a faultless series launch with stable and capable processes and procedures.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with three to five years' quality supervisory/management experience in an automotive manufacturing atmosphere, plus knowledge of statistical process control and problem solving techniques.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt and/or Shainin Apprentice/Journeyman/Blackbelt experience desired.
  • 2 – 3 years experience in implementing and maintaining ISO/QS-9001 and or IATF 16949 certified quality system.
  • Certified Internal Quality System Auditor.
  • ASQ, CQM, CQE and CQA desired.
  • Requires effective oral and written communication and personal skills with all levels.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be conscientious and maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
  • Conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
