Our Austrian locations of HELLA Fahrzeugteile Austria GmbH in Großpetersdorf and Vienna are part of the HELLA Group and globally responsible for sales, development and production of headlamps, working and construction lights. We support international OEMs in agriculture and construction machinery as well as motorbike industry.

YOUR TASKS

As Head of Operations in the plant in Großpetersdorf, you will join the management team of HELLA Fahrzeugteile Austria GmbH for the Business Division Aftermarket and Special Applications. In this role, you will make decisive contributions to the Special Applications Business.

  • You will lead the Austrian operations to the next level of productivity - technology driven and with lean expertise.
  • You are asked to manage the operations (with an approx. staff of 300 employees) within the framework of the company guidelines, in order to meet the production plan in terms of quantity, quality, deadlines and economic feasibility and guarantee continual improvement, and represent the company Hella in public.
  • And you will ensure, comply with and bear responsibility for the COP (conformity of production) requirements defined by the law for the products to be manufactured at the plant on behalf of the license holder.
  • You agree on staffing levels and support the tasks for target achievement, monitor human resources and welfare and give impulses, as well as cooperate constructively and negotiate with the Works Council.
  • You manage the employees according to targets and delegation, select, qualify and further develop employees based on a culture of trust, control effectiveness, in order to develop and compensate potential and promote individual competencies.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master or Diploma degree with majors in Industrial Management or a related technical field or business administration
  • 10-15 years high volume manufacturing industry (e. g. operations, launches, engineering and lean experience), preferred automotive supplier, financial responsibility for small unit
  • Knowledge and experience in world class manufacturing techniques and the ability to implement in a manufacturing plant
  • Profound knowledge in Q-Management TS 16949 (ISO 9001) as well as capability in Finance, Controlling and Planning
  • Distinct communication skills and experience in international cooperation characterized by open socialization with other cultures
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual, and independent work approach, together with willingness and adaptability for driving change
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. German language skills desirable
