YOUR TASK

As head of the department of Design & Development & Sales & Marketing(TtM)  at SOE division, Derabassi. You will be responsible for:-

Job Objective

  • Development of functional systems from order processing to production start-up according to quality, cost and deadline targets and optimization of the Time-to-Market process chain to comply with a

customer’s SOP

  • Managing and developing a market-driven marketing strategy for the business division while always taking into account Hella's overall objectives. The aim here is to open up new markets and sales channels in a cost-efficient way, to strengthen and develop Hella's position on the market in the long term and to identify or indeed create market advantages and then effectively exploit these.

Additional Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of automotive industry, Excellent contacts within business customers and in “Truck, Bus & Coaches, Agro Construction, 2Wheeler” segment. Strong leadership, development skills, salesmanship and communication skills. Proven sales success to these customers for Lighting/Electrical Products
  • Job involves extensive traveling
  • Job is essentially to bring new business to the company.
  • Job is essentially to drive Global Technical Center .

Personnel leadership

  • Leadership with targets, qualification and motivation, development of potentials and competencies, checking effectivity to support creativity and flexibility and achieve goals set.

Resource planning

  • Planning of technical and personnel resources corresponding to expected development assignments / projects to ensure the professional quality and competency in consideration of optimum use of capacity.

Project controlling

  • Coordination of agreements on QKTSZ in a project team as well as ensuring target achievement in the development and production process with the help of controlling instruments to identify and avoid risks at an early stage.

Know How Transfer

  • Ensure transfer of experience and know-how going beyond specific project for continuous improvement of development level in area of responsibility.

Development process

  • Optimization of existing development processing, checking and, where applicable, implementation of new development methods; establishment of development standards for more efficient development.

Product innovation / technological integration

  • Integration of new technologies in mass production development including pilot development and production engineering to supplement and secure technological head-start / advance

Customer relationship

  • Support customer acquisition and product presentation as well as analyse and ensure customer requirements relevant for development (technical and economic requirements) to obtain new orders and cement customer relationships

A Marketing resources and goals

1 Defining, coordinating and monitoring the necessary resources and goals with the marketing steering committee, also drawing up and annual updating of specific marketing concepts and sales scenarios

including budgeting, trade fair attendance, etc. with the product divisions and the sales department in order to achieve a clearly structured strategic direction and to ensure that a unified profile is presented to the markets (customers) and within the Hella organization.

 

B Product Marketing

1 Managing product marketing, setting out parameters for product portfolio management, compiling information and making it available to all the departments involved Defining processes to optimize

procedures and to facilitate decision-making Assessing potential new products in terms of their functionality and technology and then drawing up recommendations for divisional and senior management in order to add innovations to the product range in good time, thus remaining ahead of the game; and also initializing decisions regarding the product and the business division in the given field of work

 

C Marketing Trends

1 Introducing market-relevant factors, developments and trends to be taken into account in business planning and in corporate strategic direction; representation work in diverse projects; overarching sales and marketing tasks in order to define a market-driven product roadmap in collaboration with the specialist departments

 

D Market Data Analysis

1 Investigating and analyzing the competition Observing the national and international markets and the subsequent collecting of market data, drawing up sales forecasts and target price forecasts and also

checking economic efficiency in order to keep the product range up-to-date and competitive, to secure sales and profits and also to improve competitiveness and market position

 

E Marketing

1 Defining and carrying out of appropriate advertising and sales promotion measures with the departments responsible (PR and Sales) in order to ensure the product range remains up-to-date and competitive, to secure sales and profit and also to strengthen competitiveness and market position.

 

F Personnel Management

1 Leading with targets, delegation and mentoring, training and motivating, developing potential and competencies in order to achieve the targets that have been set, to ensure flexible adapting of the team structure so that it meets internal and external requirements and also to form and maintain an efficient and motivated team

 

G Communication

Cross-business communication planning and coordinating with the relevant departments to ensure presentation of a consistent image

 

H Brand and Target Group Analysis

Working with business acquisition teams to carry out detailed analyses of the brands and target groups for selected customers in order to draw up custom-tailored marketing concepts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

YOUR QUALIFICATION

 Education:

1.Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.

2.MBA

 

Job-related Experience

  • 15-20 years of experience in sales, marketing, technical center, new projects in an automotive lighting & electronics component industry in India.
